(Cazenovia, NY – May 2015) In collaboration with the current Art Gallery exhibit at the Cazenovia Public Library “Celebrating the Architectural Design of Lorenzo” young architects ages 7 to 10 are invited to a special Museum Academy with Jenna Wright at the Library Monday June 1 from 3 to 4:30 pm.

This program will explore the architecture of Lorenzo using the current exhibit at the Library, which features displays of artwork and photographic images of Lorenzo. Constructed over the period of 1807-1808, the Lorenzo mansion is considered one of Central New York’s finest examples of neoclassic design.

On display until June 30 are works by Gene Gissin, Deborah Wester, Roger DeMuth, Judy Goldthwait, Christian Phillips, Scott Phillips, and Kevin Mann.

The Art Gallery at the Library is open to the public during regular Library hours: 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. weekdays and 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.m. Saturdays.

After exploring the Gallery exhibit, children will have the opportunity to design their own family mansion using cardboard and various art supplies. All materials are provided by the Library. To maintain the quality of the program, space is limited.

Stop by the Library or call 655-9322 to reserve a spot.

Sponsored in part by The Friends of Lorenzo and the Cazenovia Public Library, this program is free and open to the public.
