Candidate Announcement(Canastota, NY – June 2, 2015) The Madison County Conservative Party threw their support behind Assistant District Attorney Kathleen Rapasadi to represent them on the ballot this November in the race for Madison County Court Judge.

“I am honored to be the Conservative Party Candidate for Madison County Court Judge,” said Rapasadi. “This process has been a wonderful experience and quite new to me because I am not a politician or a Party insider. Instead I am an attorney who has devoted her entire professional career to the Madison County legal system. This endorsement is proof that qualifications and experience are the most important qualities a judicial candidate can have and I am grateful the Conservatives have placed their trust in me to be their candidate.”

“Kathleen has all of the skills necessary to be an outstanding County Court Judge,” said Madison County Conservative Party Chairman Chris Kendall. “Her experience as a family law attorney and over 17 years working as a part time Assistant District Attorney set her apart, in addition to her personal qualities of high integrity, professionalism and demonstrated hard work ethic. Madison County will be very fortunate to have a County Court Judge of her caliber.”

On Tuesday evening the Republican Party needed three ballots to select a different candidate as their choice. Now that the Republican Party and the Conservative Party have split their endorsements, Kathleen Rapasadi, a registered Republican, represents the best chance to unify the ticket this fall.

“Due to the fact that the Republican Party vote was so close and the Conservative Party is in full support of my candidacy I believe it is best for the people of Madison County and voters of the Republican Party to let them choose their candidate for General Election,” said Rapasadi. “I believe we would be doing a disservice to Republicans if we did not give them a chance to look at the experience and qualifications to choose the best candidate. I am confident I will be their choice on September 10th and ultimately successful in the November Election as well.”

Rapasadi has served as a private practice attorney for 20 years and 17 years as a Madison County Assistant District Attorney. She has also served as the village of Munnsville attorney since 1995 and is a former president of the Madison County Bar Association.

She is a lifelong resident of Madison County and resides in Canastota with her husband Mark and their daughter Alexandra.
