They are powerfully fragrant. They have been used throughout history for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits.  If you cannot make this one, join us on Thursday July 2 at 6:30 p.m.

This Friday June 5 we will be having our Birth, Death and Rebirth of Hops Talk at 6:30 p.m.  Join Madison County Historian, Matthew Urtz as he shares about Hops in Madison County. (Rescheduled from April 3)

On Friday June 12 join Madison County Historian, Matthew Urtz, as he shares with us the story of Robert Jackson.

Jackson was a resident of Morrisville when he enlisted into the Army.  On Oct. 22, 1944 Jackson was captured by German troops in Italy.  He was moved as a POW to Stalag VII-A Prison near Munich, Germany.  On April 29, (more than 6 months later) he was freed when General Patten’s 14thArmored Division freed the prison.  During his time being held as a captive Jackson lost over one-third of his body weight.  He published the journal he kept during this time in 2004.  On May 27 Urtz drove to his Albany home and recorded his story with the help of Bruce Burke.  He will be presenting portions of this video as well as photos from Jackson’s personal collection telling his story.

Mark the dates now.  Monday through Friday June 22 to 26 we will be having an End of School Movie Marathon.  We provide the popcorn every night.  Don’t forget to bring your own beverage every night.  Every night we show a movie at 6:30 p.m.  We are showing: Curious George (2006 version) on Monday, Wall-E on Tuesday, The Lorax (2012 version) on Wednesday, The Giver on Thursday and American Sniper on Friday.  Celebrate the start of summer with us.

Our summer hours have begun.  We will be closed every Saturday from now until September 5. We will resume Saturday hours on September 12, 2015.  We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm for the summer.
