(Wampsville, NY – Sept. 2015) The Mohican Model A Ford Club will hold its 55th consecutive Antique Automobile Show and Flea Market at the Wampsville Firemen’s Field Sunday Sept. 13.
The field is located on the corners of Court and Elm streets. The Show will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is no admission charge but visitors are encouraged to purchase a few raffle tickets to win several hundred dollars in prizes.
The Wampsville Firemen will have food items on sales.
Premium parking is available for $3 for the day. Handicapped parking and restroom facilities are provided.
About 500 pre-registered cars covering the years 1900 to 1989 are expected to vie for trophies in 25 classes. Another 400 to 500 Sunday drive-in unjudged cars will be exhibited. This year will feature a special World War II military vehicle exhibit.
More than 150 flea market vendors will offer eclectic items, automotive and general antiques, collectibles, etc.
Another feature of the show is the “Car Corral” where owners can display antique cars for sale. Registration starts at 7 a.m.
The Mohican Club with its 120 member families is celebrating its 55th Anniversary this year. The Club includes both Model A Ford owners and owners of a variety of other marques. Members are located all over Central New York and meet monthly throughout the year, driving antique autos to events as weather permits. The Club supports various CNY charities, visits area nursing homes, and participates in various civic functions. In addition, it supports the various National Ford Car Associations.
