(Oneida, NY – Dec. 2015) Oneida Public Library invites young children and their family members to the 35th Annual Holiday Family Story Hour hosted by Ginny Pendleton on Wednesday Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m.

The evening of holiday stories and fun will feature Christmas stories read by Pendleton and others, dancers, an impromptu performance by the traditional Little Angels Band and a visit from a very special guest in a red suit, who will read the Christmas classic “A Visit from Saint Nicholas” by Clement Moore and hand out gifts to the children. Friends of the Oneida Library will be providing the refreshments.

For more than 17 years, Pendleton has hosted the OPL’s Holiday Story Hour. By day, she is a reading specialist at Durhamville Elementary School, a deacon of the First Presbyterian Church and a well-known volunteer for many good causes. She is the recipient of the 2014 Bill Fariel Vocational Excellence Award.

The program is free and open to the public.

For more information, stop by the Oneida Library, 220 Broad St. or call 363-3050.
