(Hamilton, NY- Jan. 2016) Curious about some of the new arrivals at the Hamilton Public Library? Here are some recent hits with book descriptions courtesy of our Wowbrary subscription.

New in adult nonfiction, New York Times bestselling author and stand-up comedian Michael Ian Black delivers a frank and funny memoir titled Navel Gazing about confronting his genetic legacy as he hits his forties. Or maybe the bestseller But You Did Not Come Back is more your speed. A runaway bestseller in France this book has already been hailed as an important new addition to the collection of works dealing with the Holocaust. It is the profoundly moving and poetic memoir by Marceline Loridan-Ivens, who at the age of fifteen was arrested in occupied France, along with her father. Looking for an armchair adventure this winter? The Road to Little Dribbling: Adventures of an American in Britain might be just the ticket! This uproarious and endlessly endearing book by Bill Bryson is one of the most acute and affectionate portrayals of England in all its glorious eccentricity ever written.

Are you a Stewart Woods fan? In his newest thriller, Scandalous Behavior, Stone Barrington is back and proves he’s no stranger to nefarious schemes and tricky situations, but his newest adversary will certainly keep him on his toes! And then there’s the sharp, funny, delightfully unhinged collection of stories set in the dark world of domesticity, American Housewife by Helen Ellis features murderous ladies who lunch, celebrity treasure hunters, and the best bra fitter south of the Mason-Dixon line.

Children of all ages will delight in these newest additions to our picture book and early chapter book collections: The Wheels on the Tuk Tuk by Kabir Sehgal, When Mischief Came to Town by Katrina Nannestad, Cockatoo, Too by Bethanie Murguia, and Balto of the Blue Dawn by Mary Pope Osborne. And you won’t want to miss all our fabulous new editions of classics like Peter Pan, Anne of Green Gables, Pippi Longstocking, and more in beautiful new covers.
