(Town of Lenox, NY – Feb. 2016) The Winter Hibernation Festival provides a number of activities indoors and out of doors Saturday Feb. 13 at the Great Swamp Conservancy of Canastota. The event is geared toward ages 3 and older and runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Go on a “Wildlife Tracking Adventure,” a guided search for signs of wildlife at 11:30 a.m. with GSC’s Educator Julie Sherlock Fishman. What is hiding under the snow? (Dress for the cold weather).
Wildlife Rehabilitator Jean Soprano of Pennellville will bring hawks and owls for a live birds of prey presentation at 1 p.m. Fishman will share her raptor knowledge and let you get an up close look at these birds that live here in Central New York.
Indoors, the Winter Wildlife Exhibit takes you on a hibernation journey when you visit different stations. Included this year is the fossil exhibit, which leads you to a fossil dig. Search for the GSC Medallion for a cash prize.
Hot food will be served at the Lady Bug Café.
