The Thirsty Ragtime Trio stops by Oneida Public Library Saturday afternoon, March 5, at 2:00 p.m. to perform the rousing syncopated rhythms of ragtime, stomp and boogie-woogie music.

The trio features pianist Dave Liddy, guitarist Steve Quenneville and drummer Mark Tiffault. They will be playing the ragtime works of Scott Joplin, Charles L. Johnson, Tom Turpin and others plus selected stomp and boogie-woogie tunes from the early 20th century.

Liddy has studied ragtime music and its special syncopated style with the famous ragtime pianist and concert performer Bob Milne. He and Quenneville have been performing together for more than 40 years, starting with the Moss Back Mule Band and continuing on with the String Bee, an “Americana” musical trio that has performed a number of times at the OPL in recent years.

Tiffault is a member of the Syracuse Music Hall of Fame and a winner of a Syracuse Area Music Award. Both Liddy and Tiffault were inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame last May.

The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, call the Oneida Library at 315-363-3050.
