Herkimer Generals softball player Taylor Daniels was named Region III and National Player of the Week.
Daniels, a Business: Sports & Recreation Management major from Watervliet hit an impressive .667 through 15 games and helped her team to an 11-5 record competing against mostly DI and DII opponents. Daniels managed seven doubles, two home runs and 25 runs batted in. She currently has 30 RBI on the season which is the best in the nation. Daniels also scored 18 runs, stole three bases and walked eight times.
“Taylor deserves everything that she gets,” said Head Softball Coach P.J. Anadio. “Her work ethic, practice habits and character are rivaled by no one. She is a person who understands that greatness is worked for, not wished for. The best thing about Taylor is that she is a ‘we’ person and not a ‘me’ person. She will be the first person to credit her coaches and teammates for her success, and that’s the best attribute about Taylor Daniels!”
