The Mid-York Musketeers are off to a great start in the 2016 parade season. The drum line and color guard successfully competed in the 34th Annual Syracuse St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 12, 2016. The group placed second for the Stan Colella Best High School Band Award, and they were judged against much larger school organizations including Baldwinsville High School and Henninger High School.
The Mid-York Musketeers, a not-for-profit corporation created to provide musical opportunities to the youth in our community, is using a recent grant award to order new drum line equipment, and they are currently conducting a fundraiser to purchase new uniforms.
With support from the Morrisville-Eaton school district and under the direction of Bill Jenkins, the organization is looking for new students to join its growing group. Students from Hamilton, Madison, Morrisville-Eaton, and Stockbridge Valley as well as other interested participants from the Mid-York area are encouraged to contact Jenkins, who coordinates instruction for the drum line and color guard.
