Jenna Wright-Martin will lead young poets, ages 8-12, in an afternoon of creative fun. Join her for a “Poetry Picnic” in the Cazenovia Public Library’s Community Room on Wednesday, April 20th from 3:00 to 4:30 pm.
During the Library’s first ever “Poetry Picnic,” a smorgasbord of different types of poetry will be offered—list poems, haikus, origami poems—all to provide children with the opportunity to get a taste of a variety of poetic forms.
Young wordsmiths will have the chance to read, experiment, and create their own poetry in a variety of styles. These original poems and light refreshments will be shared at the conclusion of the program.
To ensure program quality, registration is requested. Stop by or call the Library at 655-9322 to reserve a spot at the “Poetry Picnic.”
