Open Minds Art Exhibition

As part of May as Mental Awareness Month, clients of the Oneida Clinic of Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) will be displaying their artwork in Oneida Library’s Meeting Room, 220 Broad St. The art showcases the creativity and expression of individuals overcoming mental barriers and celebrates their resiliency.

Introduction to ‘True Crime,’ An Adult Reading and Discussion Series

Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

Oneida Public Library is hosting an adult-enrichment seminar called “In Cold Blood: True Crime, an American Genre,” a five-session non-fiction reading and discussion series sponsored by the New York Council for the Humanities. Over five weekly sessions (May 12-June 9), the group will read and discuss selections from “True Crime, An American Anthology” and Truman Capote’s “In Cold Blood.” The May 5 session introduces the seminar, and copies of the texts will be distributed. The group is limited to 15 people. Pre-registration at the library check-out desk is required.

AARP’S Driver Safety Program

Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

An AARP trained instructor offers a six-hour drivers’ safety class for potential discounts in car insurance. To register, call Bob Fish at 315-363-0455.
