On April 18, at approximately 5:45 p.m., State Police responded to WalMart on State Route 3 in Granby, Oswego County, for a report of a larceny in progress.
Upon arrival, they were advised by Asset Protection members that Jenny E. Russell, 36, of Oswego, had entered the store and selected several grocery items.
Throughout her time in the store, Russell concealed four Minecraft Figurines inside her purse, then proceeded to the checkout lanes and paid for the groceries, then attempted to leave the store without rendering payment for the figurines in her purse.
Russell was taken into custody and transported to SP Fulton where she was charged with petit larceny, a class “A” misdemeanor. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Granby Court on May 2 at 7 p.m.
