The North Eastern Athletic Conference announced its weekly award winners for women’s lacrosse Monday afternoon, naming Morrisville State College junior Jordan Anderson (West Edmeston) the Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending April 17.
Anderson assisted Morrisville State to a 3-0 record across the week in conference play, as she collected 10 caused turnovers and five ground balls on the week.
She caused at least two turnovers in each victory while the Mustangs held opponents to single-digits in scoring, including posting a single game-high six caused turnovers to go along with four groundballs, an assist, and a draw control in the 21-4 win over Bryn Athyn on Sunday.
In the 17-5 win against Penn St. Abington on Saturday, Anderson contributed a goal and two caused turnovers.
Anderson is currently tied for the conference lead in caused turnovers with 27.
The junior is a graduate of Unadilla Valley and is majoring in human performance and health promotion at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Wendy and Steve Anderson of West Edmeston.
