academicsTaylor Harper, a senior from Sherburne, presented a project at SUNY Oneonta’s annual Student Research and Creative Activity Day April 20.

Harper developed an original project titled “Impacts of Reptile Trade on Conservation Efforts and Animal Welfare” under the guidance of Tami LaPilusa of the Biology Department. It was one of 134 poster presentations displayed at the college’s Hunt Union during the daylong showcase.

Created to recognize and promote undergraduate scholarship and creative activity, Student Research & Creative Activity Day has become the premier on-campus event for scholarly student exhibition. A total of 180 students, supported by 66 faculty sponsors, participated in this year’s event, which featured presentations on a wide variety of topics across academic disciplines.
