Colgate’s Ryan Allison was honored Friday as one of five members selected to the 2016 Men’s GolfAcademic All-Patriot League Team.
Allison is an economics major who just completed his junior year at Colgate. He is a two-time member of both the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and Colgate Raider Academic Honor Roll, with a third year expected to follow on each listing when this year’s names are announced.
The Melbourne, Florida, native set the program scoring record at 73.15 and was second all-time in relation to par at +1.88 (record +1.70). He finished inside the individual top 25 in all 11 tournaments, posting four top-10s and 10 total top-20s.
At last weekend’s Patriot League championship, Allison carded 74-72-75—221, tying for 11th and his best career result at the conference tournament. This year’s performance included the first hole-in-one of his collegiate career duringSaturday’s second round.
The Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards and Academic All-Patriot League teams were nominated and voted on by the sports information directors from the respective schools.
