Oneida-based state police charged a Munnsville man with driving under the influence of drugs after observing him driving 98 miles per hour in Stockbridge Thursday night.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. May 5, Trooper Christopher Budlong was patrolling southbound on State Route 46 in Stockbridge when he observed a 2005 Subaru Legacy speeding northbound at 98 mph in a 55-mph zone. As Trooper Budlong activated his red lights and turned to stop the vehicle, the Subaru sped up and attempted to evade the trooper.
After following the vehicle for about a mile, the trooper observed the Subaru pulling into a driveway and the trooper was able to stop the vehicle and identify the operator as Joseph D. Anderson, 19, of Williams Road, Munnsville. Upon interviewing the driver, it was observed that he appeared to be impaired.
A quantity of marijuana and Adderall pills were found in Anderson’s vehicle, and he was taken into custody. A state police drug recognition expert conducted an evaluation of Anderson at the SP Oneida barracks and determined that he was under the influence of drugs. Anderson was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer, possession of a controlled substance outside its original container and unlawful possession of marijuana in addition to speeding and other traffic charges.
Anderson was issued tickets to appear in Stockbridge Town Court May 25.
So much for legalizing drugs. Keep up the good work all you liberals in the Nazi state and beyond it’s borders.
