On May 1 at approximately 8:19 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 for multiple traffic violations after being reported as an erratic operator.
The driver of the vehicle, Lyubov S. Thompson, 37, of Binghamton, was found to be intoxicated. She was transported and processed at SP Albany, where her blood-alcohol content was determined to be 0.30 percent. Due to the high blood alcohol level, she was taken to Albany Medical Center for evaluation and subsequently released back into State Police custody.
She was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
She was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable in Bethlehem Town Court May 17 at 4 p.m.
