On Monday, May 9, State Police in Lee investigated a domestic dispute that occurred in the town of Lee. Andrew J. Relf, 29, of Munnsville, was involved in a dispute with his girlfriend while she was operating her vehicle in the town of Lee. The female’s 1-year-old daughter was also a passenger in the vehicle during the dispute.
While the female was driving, Relf attempted to take her cell phone from her, which caused her to drive erratically. The dispute escalated, and the female wanted to call 911, but Relf then destroyed the cell phone, preventing the call.
The female was able to get Relf to exit the vehicle near the Nice N Easy gas station on State Route 26 in the Town of Lee, at which point he took $50 in cash from her purse. The female was eventually able to contact 911 from a friend’s residence.
Relf was taken into custody and charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child and petit larceny. He was arraigned in Lee Town Court where he was released on his own recognizance. A stay-away order of protection was issued protecting the female and the child.
