On May 13 at 6:12 p.m., Troopers from SP Lowville responded to a cemetery on River Road in Lyonsdale for a male passed out behind the wheel. Troopers investigated the incident where the male subject identified as Joseph C. Dalpe, 58, from East Road, Boonville, was still passed out in the driver’s seat of his vehicle.
Dalpe was then interviewed and found to be impaired as SFST’s were conducted. A search of Dalpe and his vehicle produced numerous prescription medications. Dalpe was subsequently arrested and transported to SP Remsen for a drug evaluation.
Dalpe was charged with DWAI –drugs; seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and controlled substance in non-original container. He was arraigned in Lyonsdale Town Court where he was released to a third party to reappear at a later date and time.
