The State Police in Watertown arrested Shawna (Keith) Goodenough, 22, and Garnett (Ashley) Goodenough, 25, of 8817 N. Main St., Evans Mills, for one count each of third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony.
Shawna Keith was additionally charged with six counts of issuing a bad check, a class B misdemeanor. Said defendants allegedly stole jewelry and power tools with a value of more than $3,000 from the complainant’s residence. The crimes occurred from April 18 through 25 in the Town of Leray, Jefferson County. The bad checks were uttered to Community Bank in the Adams during April 2016. Both Defendants were arraigned before Adams Village Justice Robert Newark and remanded to Jefferson County PSB in lieu of $10,000 bail each, pending grand jury action.
