Oneida County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program approved for a new 3 year grant period.
The Oneida County RSVP program, sponsored by the Parkway Center, has been approved by the Corporation for National and Community Service for a new 3 year grant period.
RSVP is a national organization designed to mobilize men and women aged 55 and over in volunteer service to their communities. Through RSVP, volunteers match their talent, interests, skills, and knowledge to meet community needs. The program recognizes senior volunteers as a key component in meeting community concerns and solving community problems. Older adults not only bring their interests and skills to a volunteer position, they also bring a lifetime of experience to share.
