Herkimer College student Xanthian Lincoln (Laurens) won the Five Star Subaru Award at the Sixth Annual Art and Poetry Contest hosted by Leatherstocking Education on Alcoholism/Addictions Foundation at the Community Arts Network of Oneonta.
Lincoln, a Fine Arts major, won with her charcoal drawing “The True Colors of Love: In Memory of Papa 1938-2016.” The contest theme was ‘True Colors,’ and judges were looking for images that inspire people to look beneath the surface and think about what truly matters. Lincoln’s drawing was one of 140 works of art entered into the contest.
