Dance clipartOn Friday, June 3, at 6:30 p.m., the Utica Public Library will host The Monk Rowe Trio as they present “The Music That Made Us Dance – Dance Crazes from the 1920s to 1970s.”

This lively performance will take you on a journey through all the big hits that inspired the coolest dance crazes of the 20th Century: Charleston, Foxtrot, Mambo, Jitterbug, Twist, Frug and Disco.

Let your hair down, and move to the beat; everyone is welcome to get up and dance. To encourage participation, a Utica Public Library staff member and the library director will get up and do the twist!

If you’re not a dancer at heart, just enjoy the great music. Free and open to the public.
