Moore, MarcusOn June 3, a five-month investigation by the New York State Police Special Investigations Unit in Utica, with assistance from the Oneida County Drug Enforcement Task Force, resulted in the arrest of a Utica man following the execution of search warrants in the City of Utica. Entry to the residence was affected by the Utica Police Department Emergency Response Team, and Utica Police METRO Unit assisted with the subsequent searches. Seized as a result of these searches were amounts of cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and U.S. currency.

Marcus L. Moore, 32, of 414 Bacon St., Utica, was arrested following the execution of search warrants at his residence early this morning. Found at this residence was approximately 26 grams of suspected cocaine, 6 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 8 grams of suspected heroin, 4 grams of suspected marijuana, scales, packaging material and more than $800 in U.S. currency.

Moore was charged with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (a class B felony), one count of first-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia (a class D felony) and unlawful possession of marijuana. After processing at the Marcy State Police Barracks, Moore was transported to the Utica Police Department lock-up pending his arraignment in Utica City Court on the above charges.
