state-police-seal-150x150State Police in Fulton are investigating a two-car fatal crash that occurred Tuesday, June 14, at approximately 6 p.m. at the intersection of County Route 9 and County Route 6 in the town of Volney.

The investigation revealed Cedric B. Hall, 86, of Gilbert Mills Road in Fulton, was operating a 2004 Buick sedan eastbound on County Route 9 when he failed to yield the right of way to a 1991 Ford pickup truck which was southbound on County Route 6, operated by 62-year-old, Salvatore P. Trepasso, of Jones Drive, Fulton.

Trepasso was unable to avoid striking Hall’s vehicle.

Cedric Hall and his passenger, 77-year-old, Judith A. Hall were extricated by members from the Volney, Pennellville and Phoenix Fire Departments. Both were transported by Menter’s Ambulance to SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Judith Hall was initially listed in critical condition but later succumbed to her injuries. Cedric was issued a ticket for “failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign.”

Trepasso was evaluated at the scene and declined any further medical treatment.
