Claudia Tenney announced she is thrilled to receive the endorsement of the National Rifle Association
“As a life member of the NRA, gun owner and shooting sports enthusiast, I am proud to have the NRA stand with me in defense of our Second Amendment. In the State Assembly, I have led the fight against the SAFE Act and Governor Cuomo’s gun grabbing agenda. In Congress, I will fight unconstitutional regulations and restrictions on law-abiding gun owners while working to roll back President Obama’s illegal executive orders infringing on the right to bear arms,’ Tenney said.
Claudia Tenney has been endorsed by the Conservative Party of New York, has an A rating from the NRA, a 100-percent rating from NYSCOPE, a 100-percent rating from Gun Owners of America, and an A+ rating from NYS Rifle & Pistol Association.
Tenney’s opponent Steve Wells claims to be pro-Second Amendment, but he donated $11,500 in campaign cash to Governor Cuomo and $10,000 after the passage of the unconstitutional SAFE Act which has stripped Second Amendment rights from lawful gun owners and threatened jobs at the iconic Remington Arms, which was founded and still operating in the 22nd Congressional District. Although Wells’ company now has secured millions in state contracts, one has to question the sincerity of someone who donates to Cuomo under these questionable circumstances.
Tenney’s other opponent, George Phillips, admitted earlier this year in an interview he has never owned a gun nor has he ever fired a gun. Not being a gun owner, hunter or shooting sports enthusiast, he lacks the passion and true understanding of the necessity to protect our constitutional rights.
