On June 18, at approximately 11:15 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, Mark J. Maurer, 23, of Mahwah, N.J., was found to be intoxicated. He was transported and processed at SP Montgomery, where his blood-alcohol content was determined to be 0.28 percent.He was subsequently charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
Maurer was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket return to Newburgh Town Court July 6 at 1 p.m.
