On June 30 at approximately 2:51 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on State Route 5 in the Town of Camillus for a traffic violation. Investigation at the scene revealed that the operator, Justin M. Jones, 29, of 18 Jefferson St., Auburn, was in possession of heroin, marijuana, and hypodermic needles.
Passenger Ronald Geer, 27, of 6 Holley St., Auburn, was found to be in possession of heroin, cocaine, and hypodermic needles.
Both men were arrested and processed at SP Elbridge. Jones was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument, both misdemeanors; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Geer was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument. Jones and Geer are scheduled to appear in Camillus Town Court July 12.
