On June 29 at approximately 10:45 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on West Street in the City of Syracuse that was operating with three small children in the backseat without proper child safety restraints.
Investigation at the scene revealed the operator, Sherita M. Dana, 33, of 830 County Route 21, Hannibal; and front-seat passenger Sabrina C. Johnson, 30, of 12 Barker Drive, Fulton, were in possession of heroin, Suboxone without a valid prescription, marijuana and hypodermic needles.
Dana was also operating with a suspended license. Troopers also discovered that Johnson was babysitting two 5-year-old children and one 7-year-old child in the rear seat who were not restrained in the proper car seats or booster seats. The children’s legal guardian responded to the scene and took custody of the children.
Dana and Johnson were taken into custody and charged with the following:

Both women were lodged at the Onondaga County Justice Center pending an arraignment June 30 at 9:30 a.m.
