WPBS-DT, Watertown, announces the second season of Xpedition Outdoors, a local adventure series, in high-definition, with host Dana Reid. This 6- part adventure series highlights scenic attractions and events in New York State. Xpedition Outdoors Season 2 airs Tuesdays, at 7:30pm, and will re-broadcast every Saturday morning at 7am.
WPBS-DT has been a long-time advocate for advancing travel and tourism by sharing the beauty of our region with others through the power of public media. This series emphasizes the beauty and abundance of the natural resources found in the North Country, which includes scuba diving in the St. Lawrence River, bicycling around North Creek, participating in the Woodsmen’s Field Days in Boonville, and enjoying the activities from the 2015 Tri-Rivers District Scout Camporee at Southwick Beach State Park. Each episode employs the use of a point of view camera, creating a unique first person experience of each adventure! About Dana Reid
Dana Reid lives in Antwerp, New York with her husband Michael and cats, Jaaba and K2B2. She was raised in Alberta, Canada, east of the Rocky Mountains in a small town outside of Calgary where she spent time fishing, camping and traveling with her family when she was young. In 2011, Dana obtained a Paramedic degree and a degree in Allied Health and began working as a Paramedic full time in upstate New York. Currently, she holds full and part time employment, helps with the Paramedic program at the local college, volunteers at her local ambulance service and is a full time student. Even with her busy schedule, she tries to make time for things she enjoys: sports, working out in the gym, and running obstacle courses throughout the northeastern United States.
