State Police in North Syracuse are investigating a drive-by shooting incident that occurred Monday, July 25, at approximately 1am on Interstate 690 east near Teall Avenue in the City of Syracuse.
The investigation has revealed a 2006 grey Land Rover was traveling on Interstate 690 attempting to exit at Teall Avenue when the driver heard several gun shots and windows shatter. The driver stated he continued east on I-690 and located a State Police patrol to report the incident.
Investigators were able to locate 8 bullet casings on the roadway near the Teall Avenue exit ramp. The window of the driver side door was shattered with only shards remaining in the frame. The front and rear driver side doors appeared to have several bullet holes in them. The driver received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
