The Adirondack Museum donated a complete blacksmith shop, which was originally owned and operated by George Bardo of Beaver Falls.
The BBRCM, at present, is reconstructing the blacksmith shop and wheelwright in its original size and form. The money for this project came from a grant from the Iroquois Pipeline Company.
Men from Frenchi and Crew Construction built the concrete foundation for the shop (Doug Hutchins, Brad Sullivan, Cody Smith and Mike Garlock).
The BBRCM Board of Trustees is very appreciative of their generous donation of their time, equipment and labor to get the job done.
The volunteers have been busy reconstructing the blacksmith shop: the last two pictures show that a wall is starting to come together.
There would not be a Canal Museum if not for volunteers and donors, who spend hours of their time and resources to make the Boonville Black River Canal Museum what it is today. The Museum Board of Trustees gratefully acknowledges their efforts and knowledge to complete this pocket.
