Madison County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested Teaija L. Gaut age 35 of Oneida, New York and charged her with two counts of possession of a forged instrument in the 2 nd degree (Class D Felony) and two counts of forgery in the 2 nd degree (Class D Felony).
It is alleged that Gaut forged two medical documents indicating that she had a permanent medical condition and then filed the documents with the Madison County Department of Social Services with the intent to obtain public assistance.
Gaut was arraigned in the Oneida City Court and was released her own recognizance. She is scheduled to return to Oneida City Court Aug. 19 to answer charges.
