The Cazenovia Watercolor Society will have an exhibit at the New Woodstock Free Library from September 1 through October 10. The show will be open during all regular library hours. In addition, the exhibit will be a stop on Cazenovia Art Trail event Oct. 1 and 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Society has been showing works at the library each year for more than two decades.
The Watercolor Society was organized in the fall of 1980 with the mission of “rekindling and developing” local interest in watercolor painting. The group established itself as “one of the more prominent watercolor societies in the Eastern United States,” according to a history of the organization written by Richard E. Lee in 1988.
All exhibits and presentations at the library are free and open to the public. The New Woodstock Free Library is located at 2106 Main Street (Route 13) in the hamlet of New Woodstock.
