Annual Pumpkin Coloring Contest: Stop in to the library and pick up your pumpkin coloring contest entry starting October 1! You have until October 22 at 4pm to turn in your creations for judging. Open to toddler to 6th graders! Winners will be announced at our Halloween party at the end of the month.

Fall Book Sale: Stop in and grab some good books for the fall weather ahead on Saturday October 1 from 10am to 4pm! Stock up for winter! Can’t beat the prices! We will have adult and kid’s books, DVD’s, books on tape or CD, music CD’s and more!

Kiddies Korner: Our preschool story hour has begun again! Bring the little ones in on Tuesday October 4 at 10am! Help us have fun with “Apples and Pumpkins”! Stories, finger plays, a craft and more!

Essential Oils Class: Join Robin Suarez as she helps us to better our lives naturally on Thursday October 6 at 6:30pm. Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in flowers, seeds, bark, roots and other parts of plants. They are powerfully fragrant. They have been used throughout history for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits.

Kiddies Korner: Bring the little ones in on Tuesday October 11 at 10am for our preschool story hour! We are having fun with the topic, “Will You Be My Friend?” Stories, finger plays, a craft and more!

WWII Vet, Stan Davis Talk: Davis was a Staff Sergeant in the US Army Air Corps in the European Theatre during WWII. He served as a Crew Chief on P47 style planes as well serving as an engineer on C47 transport planes. He also was an amateur photographer who took and collected over 700 photos of his time overseas. Madison County Historian, Matthew Urtz, recently digitized these images and will feature a number of these images as part of the talk. Davis will talk about his experiences and the photos on Friday October 14 at 6:30pm.

Family Movie Night: Come see Ice Age 5: Collision Course on Friday, October 21 at 7:00pm! We provide the popcorn; just bring your own beverage.  The library closes at 8pm, so if you have library business to attend to, please come early!

Halloween Party: Wear your costumes and join us for a spooky celebration on Friday October 28 at 6:30pm! We will not only announce the winners of the pumpkin coloring contest, but play fun and games and make cool crafts too!

Defensive Driving Course: Do you need to take a defensive driving course? We are hosting one at the library On Saturday September 29 from 10am to 4pm! Cost is $35 (payable the day of the course). There will be a half hour lunch break (bring your own). Reservations are required!! We must have 15 people to hold the class.
