On Wednesday Oct. 5, 2016, at approximately 10:20pm, State Police in Marcy were dispatched to a one car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Morris Road and Morgan Road in the Town of Marcy.
Investigation revealed that Rhonda L. Latour, 43, of 602 Blandina St., Utica, was operating a 2002 Chrysler mini van northbound on Morris Road when she failed to stop at the intersection of Morris and Morgan Road. Latour continued straight through the stop sign and landed in ditch on the north side of Morgan Road. A passenger in the vehicle, Patricia A. Horning, 39, of Utica, sustained head trauma and was transported by Kunkel ambulance to St Elizabeth’s Hospital in Utica.
Latour was taken into custody and subsequently charged with DWI, an unclassified misdemeanor; second-degree vehicular assault, a class E felony and was issued several tickets. She was arraigned in the Town of Marcy Court and remanded to the Oneida County Jail on $15,000 cash/bond.
