On Oct.16, 2016, State Police in Lafayette arrested 46-year-old, Donald H. Gwynn, of 2182 Oran Delphi Road, Pompey, on a charge of second-degree arson, a class B felony.
The investigation determined, Oct. 16, 2016, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Gwynn intentionally set fire to an occupied residence at 1644 Ridge Road in Fabius. The three occupants of the residence were awakened by the smell of smoke and were able to escape unharmed.
The Fabius Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. The structure sustained minor damage. Gwynn was involved in a domestic dispute earlier in the evening with an individual that was staying at the residence.
Gwynn was arraigned in Pompey Town Court before Judge Cognetti and remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center in lieu of $100,000 cash/$200,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear Oct. 18, 2016, in Fabius Town Court for a felony preliminary hearing.
