The Cazenovia Public Library invites music enthusiasts of all ages to the Community Room Friday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m., for a special folk and Irish music concert performed by Pat Kane.
Pat Kane is a longtime singer, dancer, actor, and instrumentalist who grew up on a farm in the hill country of the Canisteo River and was raised in the traditions of the Grange and his Irish family.
Kane’s company, West o’Clare, is a reference to West Clare, Ireland, where his cousins continue to run the family farm. He plays the fiddle, guitar, and bodhran, and performs jigs, square dances, and hundreds of Irish and American ballads.
Kane has written many songs and produced several albums, and his singing talent earned him first place at the NYC Fleadh Cheoil. He is also a gifted dance instructor and caller for squares,
