the-mousetrapPlayers of Utica’s 104th season continues with Agatha Christie’s most famous play, “The Mousetrap,” which opened in London and has been continuously performed since Elizabeth II became queen in 1952.

James Gifford, a returning director and the current president of the Players of Utica Board of Governors, directs this stateside production of the celebrated British murder mystery. With a cast of shady characters, compelling dialogue, and of course, a surprise ending…you’ll never guess whodunit.

SHOW SYNOPSIS:

The news on the radio at Monkswell Manor relates a murder that has recently taken place. Mollie and Giles Ralston, the young, newly-married owners of the once-regal estate, which they recently converted into a guesthouse, hardly notice the news. They are far too busy preparing for the arriving of their first guests—and concerned that the blizzard raging outside may hamper their arrival.

What arrives is trouble and danger.
