On Nov. 23, 2016, at 11:12 a.m., State Police in Sylvan Beach were dispatched to 8002 Maple Flats Road in Vienna for a male with a gun. Upon arrival, Troopers located the male and took him into custody pending further investigation.
During the course of the investigation, troopers visually observed materials known to be used in the manufacture of methamphetamine and the home was evacuated. An adult female was also taken into custody based on the observations of the troopers. The Cleveland Fire Department and North Shore Ambulance responded to the scene.
Four children under the age of 5 were transported to SUNY Upstate Medical University for precautionary evaluation. They were treated and released. The children were temporarily placed in the custody of family members.
Allan L. Christman, 23; and Katrina L. Egelston, 25, of 8002 Maple Flats Road were arrested for (1) count of Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine (PL 220.73 – D Felony), (4) counts of Endangering the Welfare of a child (PL 260.10 – A Misd) and (4) counts of Reckless Endangerment 2nd (PL 120.20 – A Misd).They were arraigned in the Town of Vienna Court and remanded to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $10,000.00 cash bail.

Members of the State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, and the Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team, along with the Oneida County Child Protective Services, Cleveland Fire and Rescue, and North Shore Ambulance assisted in this investigation.
