The Morrisville State College athletics department announced its weekly award winners Tuesday, naming senior Jordan Anderson (West Edmeston) and sophomore Kenny Bonaparte (Soundview) the Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending November 20.

Anderson, guard for the women’s basketball team, led Morrisville State to a 2-1 record on the week, averaging 12.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 4.3 steals per game across three contests.

The senior posted a single game high 17 points in the loss to Vassar College to lead Morrisville State’s efforts, while posting a single game best six steals in the win over Delhi, and a high eight assists in the win over Brockport.

Her efforts at the Brockport Tip-Off tournament earned her a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

A graduate of Unadilla Valley High, Anderson is majoring in human performance and health promotion at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Wendy and Steve Anderson of West Edmeston.

Bonaparte led Morrisville State to a 2-1 week, averaging 17.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game, shooting 51.7 percent from the floor across all three games.

Bonaparte posted a high 71.4% shooting effort in the overtime win over Valley Forge at the Nazareth College Tip-Off Tournament, where he poured in a collegiate high 34 points, adding five rebounds and three steals to his totals to lead the Mustangs to the 96-94 win.

He followed his collegiate high with a 15 point performance in the loss to Nazareth in the championship game, adding three assists, to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

A graduate of Fannie Lou Hamer Freedom High, Bonaparte is majoring in individual studies at Morrisville State. He is the son of Noemi Rosario of Soundview.
