State Senator Joseph Griffo, R-Rome, offered the following statement concerning Thursday’s announcement of the Regional Economic Development Council awards
It is great news for our region that the North Country has been awarded $61.4 million today through the Regional Economic Development Council.
This award reflects how committed all the members of the REDC are to achieving the goals that will continue to revitalize our region.
Not only will this investment in our ideas help the North Country seize upon the unique economic opportunities we have for growth, jobs and stability, but it will also further fuel the positive vision we need to achieve our true potential. We are grateful for this generous investment, and I look forward to the progress that will continue to transform the North Country for the better.
