state-police-seal-150x150Oneida-based state police charged a Clark Mills woman with DWI following a 1 vehicle crash in the Town of Verona Sunday morning.

At approximately 10:45 a.m. Dec. 11, Trooper Terry Horton was dispatched by Oneida County 911 to a one-car property damage motor vehicle accident on Hill Road near Conley Road in Verona.

Upon arrival, Horton found that a 2010 Acura TL had been traveling northwest on Hill Road and rounding a left-hand curve when it slid counterclockwise, left the north side of the roadway and struck a utility pole.

While interviewing the driver, Rachel M. Kunz, 23, of Clark Mills, it appeared Kunz was impaired by alcohol. Sobriety tests indicated she was intoxicated and Kunz was taken into custody for DWI. A DMV check showed that Kunz had a suspended driver’s license, which had also expired.  Kunz was transported to the Oneida state police barracks, where a breath test determined her blood alcohol content to be .16%.  Kunz was ticketed for DWI, Driving with a BAC of .08% or greater, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree and Unlicensed Operation and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Verona Court.

Kunz was transported to the Oneida state police barracks, where a breath test determined her blood alcohol content to be .16 percent. Kunz was ticketed for DWI, driving with a BAC of .08 percent or greater, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unlicensed operation and is scheduled to appear in Verona Town Court.
