The sixth annual Ride For Red to benefit the American Red Cross of Central New York will be held Sunday, Aug. 20, with the start and finish at the Three Bear Inn in Marathon.
The 100-mile journey rolls through five counties of scenic countryside with stops at Shelly’s Restaurant in DeRuyter, Preble Hotel and The Dryden Hotel. The event will feature a buffet, raffles, prizes and entertainment.
All makes and models of motorcycles are welcome. Registration for the Ride For Red runs from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.at the Three Bear Inn, 3 Broome St., Marathon. Kickstands are up at noon. There is a $20 donation per bike and $10 for passengers. Proceeds from the Ride For Red will help the American Red Cross of Central New York prepare for disasters and provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance in response to disasters such as home fires and floods.
