The Oneida Common Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 1 in the Common Council chambers at the City of Oneida Municipal Building at 109 N. Main St.

 

The anticipated agenda is as follows:

OLD BUSINESS

*Approval of minutes of the regular meeting 7/18/17
*Approval of Warrant No. 16
1. CAPITAL PROJECT 16-07: Amend Capital Project 16-07 WWTP Flood Mitigation Project and
authorize the issuance of up to $624,000 in bonds for said Capital Project. (Rauscher/Wells)
2. CANVASS & APPROVE BIDS: Canvass and approve bids for the WWTP Flood Mitigation
Contract No. 1 General and No. 2 Electrical. (Rauscher/Wells)
3. PROPOSED LOCAL LAW: Receive and place on file a proposed Local Law authorizing a
property tax levy in excess of the limit established in General Municipal Law §3-C and schedule a
Public Hearing for August 15, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers. (Matzke)
4. BUDGET TRANSFERS & AMENDMENT: Approve a budget amendment to reallocate funds
from an insurance claim to repair a police vehicle, and further approve budget transfers to cover a
deductible recovery and to complete the Disinfection Improvements Project at the WWTP.

5. ADVERTISE FOR BIDS: Authorize the City Engineer to advertise for bids for the construction
phase of the Oneida Rail Trail project. (Rauscher)
6. AGREEMENT: Authorize the Mayor to sign the Elite Product Upgrade Software Licensing
Agreement with ImageTrend, Inc. for use by the Fire Department. (Salerno)
7. SIGN ORDINANCE: Receive and place on file the Positive Recommendation from the Planning
Commission for the proposed changes to the Sign Ordinance and schedule a Public Hearing on said
proposed Sign Ordinance amendments for Aug. 15, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. in the Common Council
Chambers. (Acker, Simchik)
8. PROPOSAL: Amend Capital Project 16-04 – WWTP Disinfection Improvements, and authorize the
Mayor to sign the professional services amendment proposal from O’Brien & Gere Engineers, Inc. to
close out the WWTP Disinfection Improvements Project. (Rauscher)
9. EASEMENT: Approve the Rail Trail Easement and Right-of- Way Agreement between Oneida
Housing Development Fund Company, Inc., Oneida Housing Group Limited Partnership and the City
of Oneida. (Bell/Rauscher)
