State Police in Herkimer are investigating a bicycle/pickup truck accident that occurred on John Street at the intersection of South William Street in the city of Little Falls.
On Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, at approximately 6:15 p.m., an 8-year-old and a 13-year-old were riding on the same bicycle traveling southbound on South William Street when they failed to stop at the intersection of John Street where it struck the driver’s side headlight and front fender of a 2009 Dodge pickup truck. Both teenage boys were thrown from the bike. The
Both boys were thrown from the bike. The 13-year-old male was transported to SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse with a serious head injury. The 8-year-old male was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Utica with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the pickup, Michael A. Masi from Little Falls, was not injured.
The investigation continues.
