Romagnoli’s Christmas Tree Farm has painted trees red, white and blue to kick off the 2017 Trees for Troops campaign. The farm is donating Canastota-grown Christmas Trees to U.S. troops and military families across the globe. Trees for Troops is a nationwide program of the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation in conjunction with the National Christmas Tree Association and Christmas Tree Farmers Association of New York, with help from FedEx.
We invite the public to join us in donating a tree to a military family for $30 per tree. This year, Romagnoli’s goal is to send 250 trees to military families at home and abroad.
This year’s deadline for donating a tree at Romagnoli’s is Saturday, Nov. 18. While this date may seem early, it’s necessary to have time for the logistics of distribution in time for Christmas.
Checks or money orders should be made payable to Romagnoli’s Christmas Tree Farm and mailed to 8498 Oneida Valley Road, Canastota, N.Y. 13032.
Last holiday season, more than 17,500 trees were delivered to 65 military bases in the U.S. and overseas. This brought the total to more than 176,000 real Christmas trees delivered through Trees for Troops since 2005. For more details, visit Romagnolitreefarm.com, find Romagnoli’s on Facebook or contact Dewey Romagnoli at 315.697.9498.
Each year, Romagnoli’s and our Trees for Troop donors receive letters and pictures that are posted to the website and facebook page from military families grateful to be remembered during the holiday season; there is nothing better than knowing you made a difference for a military family.
Romagnoli’s has donated to this program for 11 years; this year we ask you to please join us in donating a
tree(s) to this very special cause for Christmas 2017.
