We are closed for the winter holidays but we will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 10 a.m. We hope you are having a safe and happy holiday season.

Feeling the winter blues? Break out of it by playing READO with us. Our Winter Reading challenge, READO, has begun and runs until March 1, 2018. READO is open to both kids and adults, and is just like regular Bingo, but with books. Come into the library and pick up a READO card. Read some of the books indicated on your READO card and make a “Bingo” of the books you have read. Turn in your READO card after you have made a “Bingo” and be entered into a drawing to win a prize at the end of the program. The kids can win a 3D Pen Set, and the adults can win a Kindle Fire.

Starting Jan. 2 and going until Wednesday, Feb. 28, we are having our annual Canned Food Drive to benefit the Morrisville Food Pantry. Please help us make it better than last year. Not only will you be making a generous contribution to our food pantry, but for every item you donate, we will take a $1 off your outstanding fines.

And be sure to utilize our new service, Curbside Delivery starting in January. Call the library by noon of each Friday with the items you would like us to gather for you. Books, DVDs, you name it. Call and ask us to deliver your hold items to your car too. Be sure to tell the staff member what time (15 minute increments) you plan to arrive (between 3 to 5 p.m.) and we will bring the items to your car. (Limit of 15 items). No more getting out in the cold, unbuckling the kids or whatever to grab something quick to read or watch. (If popular, more delivery dates and times will be added.)

Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour is going strong. Bring your toddler or preschool child in Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 10 a.m. Help us have fun reading about “Let it Snow”. Stories, finger plays, a craft and more. If you can’t make that day, join us Tuesday, Jan. 9, for “Robots”.

Join us for our Teen/Adult Movie Night Friday, Jan. 5, at 7 p.m. We will be showing the movie, The Mountain Between Us. When their plane crashes into the side of a mountain, two strangers forge a friendship based on necessity. If they want to survive while waiting for help, they will need to work together. Risking their lives in order to save them, these two will test the boundaries of nature-and their budding relationship. It is rated PG-13 so we will not allow kids under 13 in without a parent or guardian. As always, we provide the popcorn; you bring your beverage.

We will be closed Monday, Jan. 15 to observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will reopen Tuesday at 10 a.m.

We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
