The Darkest Hour to be shown at the Cazenovia Public Library
The Cazenovia Public Library will present two free screenings of The Darkest Hour on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., in the Community Room. The critically acclaimed 2017 British war drama film is an account of Winston Churchill’s first weeks as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
During the early days of World War II, the fate of Western Europe rests on the shoulders of the newly appointed British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. As the threat of Nazi invasion looms, Churchill must decide whether to negotiate with Hitler or to rally the nation and fight on against incredible odds.

Coco to be shown at the Cazenovia Public Library
The Cazenovia Public Library will present two free screenings of Coco (2017) on Friday, March 2 at 3:15 pm and 6:30 pm in the Community Room. The 3D computer animated musical tells the story of a young boy who is transported to the Land of the Dead.
Despite his family’s generations-old ban on music, twelve-year-old Miguel dreams of becoming a celebrated musician. Following a mysterious chain of events, Miguel finds himself in the Land of the Dead, where he seeks to unlock the real story behind his mysterious family history.

Cazenovia Public Library to Host Interactive Junior Book Club
“The Wild and Wonderful Readers” junior book club will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, March 6 at 3:30 pm in the Cazenovia Public Library Story Garden Room. The session will combine book discussion, games, and hands-on creative activities. The group will discuss Liz Kessler’s The Tail of Emily Windsnap—an enchanting story about family secrets, friendship, and the power of love.
Twelve-year-old Emily Windsnap has lived on a boat with her mother for as long as she can remember. She has no knowledge of her father’s identity or whereabouts. When her mom reluctantly agrees to let her take swimming lessons, Emily makes a shocking discovery about her own identity. After realizing she is half-mermaid, she sets out to discover her family history and find her father.

Murder on the Orient Express to be shown at the Cazenovia Public Library
The Cazenovia Public Library will present a free screening of Murder on the Orient Express (2017) on Wednesday, March 7 at 1:00 pm in the Community Room. The British-American mystery film is based on Agatha Christie’s 1934 novel of the same name.
When a murder occurs on a luxury passenger train, world-renowned detective Hercule Poirot steps in to solve the case. After an avalanche stops the train dead in its tracks, Poirot must race against time to search for clues and interrogate the passengers before the killer strikes again.
